We have a feeling some great memories will be made tonight...

We'll be sharing the night with Nashville recording artist Michael Scott (if you haven't seen them, they are a great country-rock-party band that put on an amazing show). Plus, we'll also be getting into into the spirit by playing some Christmas songs. There will be plenty of good cheer (and beer) to go around!!

Early show...Mojo starts at 8pm, with Michael Scott taking the stage at around 10:30. Hope to see ya' there!

This is Today!

First off, some pics from Summerfest are up, and a big thank you to Laureen Plageman for taking them.

And now we will turn it over to Dommer, who has been doing a great job at writing a weekly post for us to share -

"This is Today" -

"This is Right now"...and the CD release party is this Saturday @ Coin's which it promises to be an action packed night with all that is going on. We would hope that you all will be attending. If not you can pick up the new disc online at I-Tunes and CD Baby, or physically at CD Warehouse (80th St in Kenosha)...but hopefully at Coin's on Sat! Those of you that have been to our release parties know what a great time they are and how much we appreciate your responses to our finished product. It’s awesome to have so many of you there for such a special occasion, as was the feeling we received from those attending Summerfest as well”¦

Summerfest was quite simply incredible. Everything - the weather, music, Boys n Toys, friends, families - was superb. The whole band was spot on and not only were we pleased with our performance but with the spectacular attendance. We can't Thank You all enough. I can't even begin to list names as friends had come in from all over the state and country to see us, especially with a day like that. I will however give a shout out to the President of my apparent Fan Club? ( Who knew?) T.R., I'm still laughing! lol. Well anyways, step on out, pick up our new disc, come see us off before we leave for Vegas and enjoy an another incredible night because... "Once it's gone, it's gone."

Dommer (sound guy)

<a

A message from Team Ohana

(The 89 Mojo cd release party this Saturday is extra special as there is also a Relay for Life cancer benefit that day/night at Coin's. Here is a little more info from the group putting it on.)

A group of family members and friends have come together the past few years to raise money for the American Cancer Society via Kenosha's Relay for Life. We call ourselves Team Ohana which loosely translates into Team Family. The Hawaiian culture has given Ohana such a wide definition that it's hard to translate into English, but we like to sum it up by defining it as the spirit of family. In other words "Ohana means family and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."

Team Ohana Relays in honor of my Aunt Nani who is now a five year survivor of Breast Cancer and still aging gracefully and full of spunk! This is our fourth year participating in the Relay and each year we raise more than the previous year.

Mahalo (thank you) to you and we look forward to sharing this night with you all!

A'ohe hana nui ka alu'ia.
What about the half-drank beers?!

"What about the half-drank beers???"
"Is everything cool with Night Ranger?"
"They're taking Dave away in a mini-ambulance/golf cart!?"

These are just a few of the numerous stories from Summerfest that we hold dear to our hearts. And I think that just about anyone who ever has attended the "Big Gig" has a great story to tell. Why not come to Milwaukee's Lakefront this Saturday the 9th and add to your own list of awesome memories? We'll be playing the World's Largest Music Festival @ High Noon on the Briggs Stage. We can't wait to play those TWO SOLID HOURS of Rock for you. Then to be followed by our "Brothers in Rock", Boys N Toys @ 2:30...and I'm sure both bands will be on stage together at some point...and I don't mean for tear down either! Milwaukee favorite Pat McCurdy @ 5:00, Cerfus Project at 7:30 and then The BoDeans!! What an awesome line up.

What could be better? Hmmm...How about the confirmation that our new CD's will be available there? They're here!!! You Hear? That, or you'll just have to make it to the CD release party at Coin's on the 16th.

Thank You all for attending the 4th at Cooler, as well as Jodi, Kevin and their staff for having us there. You guys were great hosts. From what I saw everyone had a fantastic time and I would know... I was running sound near the restrooms!lol. It's always fun to see so many new and familiar faces enjoying their night.

So basically you have your next two weekends planned for you - unless you are going to Vegas, which makes three and we know that's a charm! You still have time to make Vegas happen. We'd settle for one weekend, though two is better that's why I throw them. On that note...Deuces!

Oh - and see you Saturday!

Dommer

and the kids are lighting firecrackers BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Well the heat is finally here...at least for a little while. I think everyone
is looking forward to an extended holiday weekend. The smell of grills,
the opening of beverages, gathering of friends and families, and the sound of
fireworks...Good Times.

We are playing at Cooler By The Lake on the 4th, before (7pm) AND after the fireworks (9:45-ish). It should be quite the show with that is going on at the lakefront. We can only hope that the "shirt" makes an appearance. (Shaky, Adam - can you make this happen?) So stop on out! If not we would hope that
you'll be attending Summerfest on the 9th where there's a good possibility that
we'll have the new cd for sale early. Shhh... Don't tell Grant. That, or you
can pick it up at the CD release party on the 16th at you guessed it... Coin's
Sports Bar and Mayhem. Mayhem? Really? Do I need to explain? Ahh, some other
time.

We'd like to thank the Mojo faithful for attending the two shows this past
weekend. It was great to see so many familiar faces at both venues. Our Beloit
friends were awesome as usual, as it's always great to play there. Potawatomi
was a lot of fun, with a bunch of our regulars and irregulars (namely Freaky)
being in attendance.lol. It's fantastic that we are building an "all walks of
life" following at the casino which makes for simply unique shows.

That's it kids. Please be safe this holiday weekend. We look forward to
seeing you all soon. I'll leave you with this infamous quote, "Drink a 5th on
the 4th!" -D. Ianni Throwing 2 to all of you.
Dommer

You hear that?!

That's the sound of the train pulling into the station. Are you ready for the summer to begin? The band's next month is packed full of dates for you to attend so don't miss out, but before I start with that I have some items that I would like to address.

We did an excellent benefit, for another great cause at Coin's (Go Figure!) on the 12th of June. If you missed this one you missed out on some spectacular, unique performances by a couple of the members of the band that if we were to put up on YouTube they would go viral in minutes. We celebrated Dom's 12th, maybe 21st birthday as well...enough said other than it was nice to have Chaddy come down and play. Hats off to Mark and the Coin's crew for all their hard work...if their pace keeps up we'll be doing a benefit for Tim's voice quite soon!

The disc... Yes the long awaited disc that we've been so patiently working on is being pressed and packaged. I believe you all will thoroughly enjoy the finished production as countless hours were put into it's making. We are hoping that we'll have that ready to distribute by our Summerfest date July 9th if not sooner. We also have some new merchandise: wristbands, T shirts?, oh, and did I mention CDs?

This weekend we have a highly missed two days of weekend shows kicking off in Beloit on Friday at the Hog Cabin. Everyone who knows the band knows that Beloit is our home away from home. The stories and doings that have come from Beloit Rock City gigs are so numerous that we would have to write a separate book if we where to chronicle the bands shows over the years.

Saturday we are at Potawatomi Bingo's Bar 360 with a great acoustic set that will sure to please such a diverse and quite entertaining audience. Our friend Chad will be sitting in, and that's always fun. It's such a unique experience to play there. One can only wonder if Dirty Joe will be in attendance...

So the band is kicking off the summer right with a bunch of awesome shows starting this weekend. Please check the website or Facebook for our upcoming shows as well. July 4th @ Cooler by The Lake, July 9th Summerfest, July 22nd McFadden's @ the RIO in Las Vegas, NV. It's going to be another fantastic, fun-filled summer of Rock. So make sure you get on board.

-Dommer
